As a patient care technician, you'll deliver safe, compassionate, hands-on care across hospital, clinic and long-term care settings — measuring vital signs, running EKGs, drawing blood and supporting patients' daily care needs. Our online program teaches the clinical skills that matter on the job.
You'll learn the healthcare system and the PCT role, patient rights and HIPAA, infection control and safety, body structure and function, vital signs and EKG monitoring, phlebotomy and specimen collection, and the full range of daily patient-care skills.
After finishing, you'll be ready to take the NHA Certified Patient Care Technician/Assistant (CPCT/A) exam and/or the AMCA Patient Care Technician Certification (PCTC) exam — nationally recognized credentials that open more job options and room to advance.
