This course provides a focus on clinical procedures and practices. Students will learn about the responsibilities and duties of medical assistants, as well as the anatomy and physiology of the human body and the importance of maintaining a clean and safe clinical environment. Students will become familiar with vital signs measurement, phlebotomy, sterilization and infection control, and basic laboratory procedures.
This course provides students with an overview of the various medical specialties and subspecialties within the field of medicine. Through a combination of lectures, discussions, and case studies, students will gain a deeper understanding of the specialized areas of medicine including cardiology, oncology, neurology, and more, as well as the role of medical assistants in each specialty.
